I am an emerging artist and musician local to Bendigo. Natural environments, music, world events and life are all inspirations for my art. I work with many different mediums including acrylic paint, pastel, charcoal, pen and watercolour. My style changes with my interests and the work I want to do and can range from realistic to cartoonish to surreal. My work “War” was inspired by the conflict happening between Papa New Guinea and Indonesia where citizens of Papa New Guinea are being bombed, including young children and families who can’t escape the violence. I try to stay informed with what is happening in the world so I can try to understand what is happening and help when I can. I also want to bring beauty to the world through music and art. My piece “Music Fills the Void” ties together music and art with poetry, showing how music allows us to be vulnerable, to feel and to be free. I also play a lot of music, as a classical and jazz singer as well as violinist and I hope to share this love through teaching the violin and performing at places such as Langley Estate for “The Next Generation” and at the Moonlight Market. |
